APD | Chinese woman in Sri Lanka tests positive for coronavirus

COLOMBO, Jan 27 (APD) -- A Chinese woman in Sri Lanka has tested positive for the coronavirus, heath officials said late on Monday night.

The 43-year-old woman arrived from the Hubei Province in China.

She has been admitted to the Infectious Diseases Hospital in the Sri Lankan town of Angoda.

The Health Ministry urged the public not to panic but take appropriate precautions.

The Health Ministry says all steps are being taken to prevent the virus from spreading in Sri Lanka.
