Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao arrived here Tuesday night for an official visit to Thailand.

As two friendly neighbors, China and Thailand have maintained stable and healthy relations and conducted fruitful cooperation in various fields, which have benefited the two peoples, Wen told reporters en route to Bangkok from Phnom Penh.

During the two-day visit, Wen will meet with King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, and attend the inauguration ceremony of the China Culture Center in Bangkok.

The Chinese premier believed that his visit will elevate the China-Thailand comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation to a new level.

Wen flew in Thailand after a visit to Cambodia, where he also attended a series of meetings of East Asian leaders.
