WHO chief confident in China's ability to handle the epidemic

World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is confident in China's handling of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. The Director-Generalsaid on Monday WHO is fully confident in China's ability to prevent and control the disease.

Dr. Tedros, who's now in Beijing, highly praised China's resolute actions and great effort in facing the virus breakout. He is expected to meet with Chinese officials and health experts about the coronavirus outbreak during his visit.

In regards to some countries plans to evacuate nationals trapped in Wuhan, capital city of central China's Hubei Province, where the outbreak began, Tedros said WHO does not advocate such an act, and it wish relevant parties to stay calm and not overreact.
