Lebanon's Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri arrived in Beirut Tuesday evening after his sudden resignation in a televised statement he read from the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh on Nov. 4.

Hariri left Paris this morning and visited Egypt where he held talks with President Abdel Fatah Sissi, then visited Cyprus in an unexpected visit and held talks with Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades.

Lebanon's President Michel Aoun refused to accept Hariri's resignation as he considered it unconstitutional because it was not presented to him in Lebanon.

Aoun went far in considering the resignation forced on Hariri by the Saudis and that he was kept under house arrest, accusing the kingdom of committing an act of aggression against Lebanon.
