APD | Typhoon Phanfone death toll rise to 13 in Philippines

At least 13 people were reported to have died in typhoon-related incidents in Western Visayas as of 1:00 P.M., today.

Nine of the casualties have come from Iloilo while four others from nearby Capiz, both in Panay Island in Central Philippines. Six others were reported missing while two others were injured.

According to the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council in Region VI, there were two landslides.

All flights to and from Boracay Airport have been cancelled as flights from Kalibo Airport have been cancelled due to the damage the airport terminal suffered due to “Ursula.”

The recent tropical cyclone, the 21st to have entered the Philippines for the year 2019, has weakened as it moved towards the South China Sea.
