Xi Jinping addresses event marking 30 years of Shanghai's Pudong

Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered a speech at the Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Development and Opening-up of Pudong in Shanghai on Thursday.

On April 18, 1990, China announced the development and opening-up of Pudong. Thirty years on, Pudong has become not only China's most iconic skyline but a symbol of the country's link with the world.
