Chinese weightlifters win 3 golds and break 3 world records in two days

China's Long Qingquan lifted 170kg in the jerk for a world record total of 307kg to take the men's 56kg weightlifting gold medal at the Rio Olympics on Sunday.

Om Yun Chaol from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea grabbed the silver with 303kg and Sinphet Kuraithong of Thailand had the bronze in 289kg.

On Tuesday, China's Deng Wei won the women's 63kg weightlifting by breaking two world records in just five lifts at the Rio Olympics.

Choe Hyo Sim of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, bronze medalist at the world championships in 2015, clinched the silver medal at 248kg while Karina Goricheva of Kazakhstan, third in 2015 world ranking, grabbed the bronze at 243kg.
