Seychelles President Wavel Ramkalawan remains in quarantine following his trip to Mauritius earlier this week, where he met with Prime Minister H.E Pravind Kumar Jugnauth among other leaders.

The Seychelles presidency confirmed that Ramkalawan was still isolating himself in line with the country's health protocols aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19.

The country has so far reported 184 COVID-19 infections.

On Friday, Vice President Ahmed Afif chaired a cabinet meeting on behalf of the president, in which a number of legal and policy memoranda were considered.

Ramkalawan's visit to Mauritius was his first official foreign trip since he took office in end October.

He was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including the First Lady Linda Ramkalawan, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism Sylvestre Radegonde, the Commander of Seychelles Coastguard Colonel Simon Dine, the Director for World Affairs and Countries Patsy Moustache and the Senior Officer of the Seychelles' Anti Narcotics Bureau Yves Leon.
