COVID-19 cases in Iran rise to 10,075

Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education on Thursday said 10,075 people in the country have been infected by COVID-19, official IRNA news agency reported. At least 429 people have died from the novel coronavirus disease as of Thursday, Kianush Jahanpur, head of Public Relations and Information Center of the ministry, was quoted as saying.

A total of 3,276 people have recovered, Jahanpur added.

Iran announced the first cases of coronavirus infection in the central city of Qom on Feb. 19.
