Ammunition warehouse explodes in Indonesia, injuring 25

An ammunition warehouse belonging to the navy exploded in North Jakarta on Wednesday, seriously wounding 25 people, mostly marines, according to the military.

The warehouse storing ammunition for long and short rifles, which belongs to frogman force for west naval command, exploded at 10 : 30 a.m. Jakarta time, Indonesian military spokesman Iskandar Sitompul said.

"An initial report says that 25 people, most of them marines were wounded (in the blast) and now evacuation is underway," he told Xinhua over phone.
