Singapore's PM Lee Hsien Loong meets with Director-General of ILO

Accompanied by Secretary-General of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) Chan Chun Sing, Director-General Ryder called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana on Monday afternoon. Ryder's presence indicated the close ties between Singapore and ILO, according to a press release by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) .

PM Lee and Ryder reaffirmed the close and longstanding strategic partnership between Singapore and ILO. They had a fruitful exchange on international developments relating to the world of work.

Ryder is in Singapore to attend the International Forum on Tripartism (IFT), which is jointly organized by MOM, NTUC and the Singapore National Employers Federation, together known as the tripartite partners.

The IFT serves to commemorate both Singapore's 50 years of independence and its 50th year as a member state of the ILO.
