The World Health Organization (WHO) will as soon as possible provide a factsheet on its 2020 budget and contributions from members, a WHO official said Friday.
Margaret Harris, spokesperson for the WHO, told a press conference here that though having decided to suspend the funding to WHO, the United States had been "a great partner of the Organization."
Earlier this week, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus had said that the WHO regretted the U.S. decision and would review the impact of any withdrawal of U.S. funding.
At Friday's press conference, Harris also told reporters that WHO was looking into the genome of the novel coronavirus and could still not definitively confirm the origin of the virus.
At the same time, she said that as for the World Health Assembly scheduled in the May, decision had not been made yet on whether it would take place as planned or to which date it might be postponed.
