King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia on Sunday held talks with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The talks fell within Abe's official visit to Saudi Arabia as part of his regional tour that started with the kingdom.
The king and Abe reviewed bilateral relations and ways of developing them as well as aspects of cooperation in accordance with the Saudi-Japan Vision 2030.
Launched in 2017, the vision is intended to promote ties from the exchange of goods to strategic partnership between the two countries.
The two sides also exchanged views on cooperation in the fields of tourism, security of supplies, artificial intelligence and renewable energy and discussed a number of regional and international issues of common interests.
