A survey of 1,504 tech employees in the U.S. found that 60 percent think U.S. tech companies should work more closely with Chinese tech firms.

The survey, carried out by Protocol and published on Monday, also showed that 56 percent of the respondents agreed that U.S. restrictions on Chinese technology companies have gone too far.

Fifty-eight percent of them agreed that a cold war with China could "cripple U.S. tech companies."
