Airstrikes kill 12 insurgents in Afghan northern province

At least 12 insurgents were killed during the airstrikes conducted by Afghan air forces in Kunduz province in northern Afghanistan on Saturday, the defense ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

"The air forces targeted the convoy of militants in Imam Sahib district of Kunduz province Saturday evening, killing at least 12 insurgents," said the statement, adding a vehicle used by militants was also destroyed.

Taliban militants haven't commented on the report so far.
