This is a story of a fast food restaurant staffer, a tramp and a stranger’s kindness.
A KFC store manager from central China’s Wuhan city has won the hearts of many Chinese netizens for a small act of benevolence to a beggar.
It could have been another quiet yet busy evening for Zhu Bowen, manager of the KFC chain store near the city’s railway station. But then an elderly beggar turned up in the store, probably in the hope of asking for some money and food from diners.
Zhu soon came up, asking the old man to leave the store, where begging is not allowed. Instead of hustling him out, Zhu escorted the beggar to a bench nearby. He then went back, but soon returned with some packaged food and drinks he bought at the store, and handed them all to the old man.

A passerby captured the touching scene and posted the pictures on Twitter-like Sina Weibo, which has gone viral over the last few days.
Many have lined up to show their support and appreciation for the dutiful and kindhearted manager.
“It’s his duty to ask beggars to leave the store, but it’s his kind heart that led him to buy the food,” a Sina Weibo user named @sanjindaren233 commented.
“People are no longer being apathetic and rejective, they’re warming up the world with their love,” another user named
@xiaoshuangyatou775 said.
Others, however, said the manager may have put himself into trouble by helping the professional beggar.
“You’re doing no good to him and yourself by helping him. Since you give him the food, he is sure to return some other day. Your so-called kindness is taken for granted by him,” said a user @yiji-85152.
