Chinese mainland reports 25 new COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded 25 new COVID-19 cases on Monday – two locally transmitted in southern Guangdong Province and 23 from overseas, data from the National Health Commission showed on Tuesday.

No new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported.

A total of 27 new asymptomatic cases were recorded, while 465 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 91,629, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,889

Macao: 53

Taiwan: 14,080
