Ethiopians take to the streets after murder of popular singer

The shooting deaths of 239 people including the popular singer Hechalu Hundessa and the arrest of political opposition leader Mohammad Jawar in Addis Ababa last week has sparked Ethiopian emmigrants throughout the U.S and other parts of the world to take to the streets. 3500 people have been arrested in Ethiopia, and as of July 9 the country-wide internet shutdown continues. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has appealed for calm.
