This woman hopes to develop a coronavirus vaccine in a few months

The moment the genetic code for the 2019 novel coronavirus was released by the Chinese government, Kate Broderick's team at INOVIO Pharmaceuticals in California began to develop new DNA medicine to kill it.

The potential vaccine is made by designing a vaccine that attacks the virus' DNA.

Broderick says she hopes the vaccine, INO-4800, will be ready for human trials by early summer 2020.
