MANILA – A powerful next-generation storage and infrastructure foundation with additional innovations has been introduced with Hitachi Virtual Storate (VSP) Platform 5000 series.

Joe Ong, Hitachi’s Vice President and General Manager for ASEAN said their latest addition to their products will assure customers of digital advantage over their competition.

He described their latest product, Hitachi Vantara will deliver the foundation for modern, enterprise structure innovations that their customers need, along with new solutions that are engineered using future-proof technology to take on the data center challenges in the near future.

“Hitachi Vantara 5000 series provides the core data storage foundation for all digital business operations with the speed and scale to power existing workloads and new data-intensive workloads through multi-cloud and AI-driven environments,” Ong told a select group of media practitioners in the Philippines.

He added it is agile enough to store block and file date supports workload diversity from traditional mission-critical business applications to containers to mainframe.

Asked of the current market price of their latest system, Ong said their Hitachi VSP 5000 Series is reasonable enough as it comes loaded with value-added software that enables complete storage management, powerful system analytics and native copy data management. He explained a 100% data availability guarantee exists for all VSP models including the new VSP 5000 series. It also features non-stop operations that can survive regional outage as they deliver synchronous clustering of applications between site that are up to 500 kilometers apart.

Ong added they will introduce their Hitachi Vantara 5000 initially to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.

In an exclusive interview, Ong said ASEAN is prepared for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, where data plays an important role in the economy. He added different countries with different cultures will have different requirements as to the usage of technology in their respective economic activities.
