MOFA: China welcomes US-DPRK leaders meeting

China welcomed Friday's announcement of a meeting between US President Donald Trump and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong Un, urging them to show "political courage" in the pursuit of Korean Peninsula denuclearization.

China calls for the relative parties to hold necessary and helpful bilateral and multilateral contact, and restart dialogue on the issue as soon as possible, said Geng Shuang, spokesman from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday.
