Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on Wednesday warned that legal actions would be taken against anyone who continues to accuse the government of using a fake map to demarcate the country's border line.

"Anyone who continues to claim that the (government's) map is fake will face legal action immediately without any pardons," he said in a speech during the launching ceremony of the Industrial Development Policy at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh capital.

The government sees such acts as incitement that affects public security and order, and causes public confusion over border issue.

The prime minister's public warning came after the government verified its map with a map borrowed from the United Nations last week, and the result shows that the two maps are identical.

Border issue between Cambodia and Vietnam has become a sensitive topic in Cambodia over the past few months after lawmakers of opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party accused the government of using a wrong map to demarcate border line with Vietnam. Enditem
