A piece of news entitled “Boy chooses Wi-Fi over grandma” has sparked heated debate among Chinese Internet users over how small kids spend their summer vacation.
Local media reported, a nine-year-old boy in southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality refused to spend his summer vacation at his grandma’s house because she didn’t install internet at her home. The boy, nicknamed Tuantuan, spends every summer vacation at the grandma’s. But this time, he denied his dear grandmother, complaining “There is no Wi-FIi and smart phone in grandma’s home, I can’t play video game. It’s too boring.”
The 67-year-old was really upset, saying “I can cook his favorite dishes, such as stewed pork shank, twice cooked pork and soybean past noodles. I can read Chinese myth too. I miss him so much.” She didn’t understand why her grandchild is obsessed by phone and internet.
With the technological progress and the popularity of internet, our major leisure time are occupied by smartphones. Worse still, smartphones also stealing childhood. Nowadays, playing online video game is the only pleasure of some children. Some say these computer-loving kids may miss out the simple outdoor pleasures.
However, the internet was not so developed in the 1980s and 1990s. Simple outdoor games and other ways of amusements are children’s favorites.
1. Chickens vs Eagle

It’s the game for the girls, which is usually played by three players with a long rope. Players must accomplish a specific series of moves without making an error or pausing.

Flying kite has been a popular outdoor game since Ancient China.
6. Small raccoon crisp instant noodle
The Post-90s generation runs out of their money to small raccoon crisp instant noodles, just for collecting all 108 cards in the bags.
7. Watching animated films and TV series
