Although the COVID-19 pandemic hit the startup world hard with layoffs, those that did survive pulled in record amounts of venture capital funding – $130 billion in 2020.

But often left behind were startups founded by people of color, especially Black Americans, who areloggingextra hours to carve out a space in the booming sector.
