Qatar condoles UAE over death of Dubai ruler's son

Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the former ruler of Qatar, met here on Sunday with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to express condolences over the death of his son, state news agency WAM reported.

Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, 34 years old, the first son of the ruler of Dubai, died on Saturday morning of a heart attack.

Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, who was succeeded as Qatar's ruler by his son Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani two years ago, "expressed his grief for the great loss, praying Allah Almighty to bless the soul of the deceased with mercy and bestow patience and solace on the Al-Maktoum family," the report said.
