The finals of the Youxian Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest 2021 were held in Youxian district, Mianyang, Sichuan province, on Oct 19.

The three-month contest featured 57 projects involving multiple industries such as the internet, software and hardware development, e-commerce, cultural media, scientific and technological services, and ecological agriculture.
A total of 20 projects entered the finals, including ten in the innovation group and ten in the entrepreneurial group.

The finals were held in the form of road shows. The Mulong Village Shareholding Economic Co-operative in the district's Zhongxing Township won first place in the entrepreneurial group, while the Wind Power Blade Recovery Technology and Industrial Application project won the top prize in the innovation group.
Organizers said the purpose of the contest is to stimulate enthusiasm for innovation and entrepreneurship among college students, the unemployed, farmer entrepreneurs, scientific and technological workers, various rural talent, and veterans.

The winning projects will be recommended to participate in the municipal, provincial, and national-level entrepreneurship contests, said the organizers.
Wen Yu, director of Youxian District's employment and entrepreneurship promotion center, said the district will carry out a series of innovative and entrepreneurial activities to help entrepreneurs enhance their abilities and receive financial support.
