APD | Two more dead, seven missing in three landslides of the Philippines brought by foul weather

LEGAZPI CITY, Dec.29 (APD) – A 91-year old widow died this morning during a landslide in a village in Bulan, Sorsogon while a 51-year old man died at another landslide in Camarines Sur province at dawn today.

However, seven construction workers about to draw their salaries in Sorsogon City remain missing as the road they were walking into eroded at buried them due to continuous rains past midday today.

Joint rescue operatives from City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and local police operatives were reported conducting rescue and retrieval operations.

Earlier today, three others died in a landslide in a hinterland village this city bringing casualties to six dead and seven others missing due to intense rainfall brought by Tropical Depression “Usman” since yesterday morning.
