South Korea's ruling Democratic Party said on Thursday it will call for a parliamentary hearing into the Defense Ministry's failure to inform the president about the delivery of four additional THAAD missile launchers.

The party's special panel plans to call several security officials to testify.

President Moon Jae-in expressed his frustration over the incident Tuesday and ordered a probe into why the delivery was not disclosed.

He also said the investigation was not aimed at reversing the deployment agreement, but to conduct it according to appropriate procedures.
