China's envoy contributes 250,000 masks to Iran over COVID-19 outbreak

"Be strong, Iran," China's Ambassador to Tehran Chang Hua said while delivering 250,000 masks to Iran amid the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.

TEHRAN, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- China's Ambassador to Tehran Chang Hua on Tuesday delivered 250,000 masks to Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education as a support to protect Iranians against the outbreak of novel coronavirus in the country.

"Today, I, as the representative of China's Embassy in Iran, donated 250,000 masks to Iran," the ambassador tweeted in Persian language.

"More contributions are on the way. Be strong, Iran," he said.

Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education announced Tuesday that the novel coronavirus outbreak in the country has affected 95 people and 19 of them have died over the past week. ■
