China firmly opposes the U.S. Congress passing bills that interfere in the country's internal affairs, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said on Tuesday.

The Tibet Autonomous Region, Taiwan, and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region issues bear on China's sovereignty and territorial integrity. They are purely China's internal affairs and should have no interference by any external force, Wang stressed.

China urged the U.S. to stop interfering in China's internal affairs, and refrain from signing and implementing bills aimed at harming China's interests, so as to avoid further damaging the overall interests of two countries' cooperation and bilateral relations, Wang added.
