India: Actor-cricketer wedding pictures get more than 3 Million ‘Likes’

**NEW DELHI, Dec. 13 (APD) ** - Film actor and producer Anushka Sharma and Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli’s wedding ceremony, solemnized in Tuscany, Italy on Monday is getting ample attention across India.

One of India's most popular couples, they announced their wedding on their social media accounts through a picture with a caption, “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you."

"This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans and well-wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey," the post further said.

Within minutes the pictures started trending on social media and were ‘liked’ a number of times by their fans. A picture, shared by Kohliwhere the bride and groom were seen putting flower garlands around each other’s necks, received more than 3.7 million likes on his instagram account.

Meanwhile, Sharma’s picture of the two sharing a light-hearted moment garnered around 3 million likes.

While the wedding was kept a secret and the ceremony was a private affair, there had been speculations about the wedding since the last few days.

In a Hindustan Times report it was revealed that, “The wedding was solemnised as per Hindu rituals. Leading fashion designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, had designed the ensembles for both the bride and the groom.Virat and Anushka will now start inviting their friends and colleagues for the celebrations that will take place in Delhi and Mumbai.”

According to reports, the bride and groom have decided to sell their wedding pictures to an American fashion magazine, so that they could donate the proceeds to a charity.
