Japan's Hanyu wins men's singles at Four Continents

Japan's Yuzuru Hanyu won gold in the men's singles event at the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships here on Sunday.

Hanyu, who was first after the short program on Friday, maintained his lead with a total score of 299.42 points, comfortably ahead of Jason Brown of the United States, who took the silver medal on 274.82 points.

Yuma Kagiyama of Japan, who finished fifth in the short program, rallied in the free skating to claim the bronze medal with 270.61 points.

China's Jin Boyang came fourth with 267.67 points, while fellow Chinese skaters Yan Han and Zhang He were 10th and 13th with 239.41 points and 210.06 points respectively.
