Another 11 bodies from sunken South Korea's trawler were recovered in a rescue mission in the Bering Sea, local authorities said on Wednesday.
The recovered bodies includes four South Koreans, six Indonesians and one Filipino, said Artur Rets, head of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky seaport's coordination and rescue operations center.
Before Wednesday's operation, a total of 12 people were confirmed dead, with 7 rescued and 41 still unaccounted for. The search operation is suspended at the moment and will be resumed on Thursday morning.
"Four of South Korean vessels that rode out the storm at Navarin's Cape are to join the search operation. They are to be at the accident site on Thursday morning. A Russian Federal Security Service jet is to join the operation on Thursday," Rets told Xinhua.
The South Korean trawler "Oryong 501", which departed from the country's southern port city of Busan on July 10 to catch pollack, sank in the western part of the Bering Sea near Russia on Monday.
The crew on board 1,753-ton fishing vessel included 11 South Koreans, 35 Indonesians, 13 Filipinos and one Russian inspector, according to South Korea's oceans and fisheries ministry.
