The Malaysian health ministry said Saturday that 10 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the country, bringing the total number of the cases to 93.

All the new cases were from a new cluster linked to the 33rd patient identified earlier, the ministry said in a statement.

The 33rd patient had been previously reported to be a 58-year-old man.

Of the 93 cases in the country, 23 have recovered so far, according to the ministry.

The 33rd case could be traced to the 26th patient, a senior Malaysian corporate executive who has been the center in what the authorities described as a "second" wave of cases starting in February.

The ministry also advised Malaysians to avoid non-essential travel to China, South Korea, Japan, Italy and Iran as well as other places where COVID-19 cases have been reported.
