Despite the U.S. surpassing one hundred thousand COVID-19 deaths, most states are planning to reopen their economies. In Ohio, COVID-related restrictions began easing restrictions earlier this month. Restaurants opened for outside business on May 15th and dine-in services on the 21st.

CGTN's correspondent Sean Callebs visited Over-the-Rhine, known as OTR in Cincinnati, Ohio and looked at the state of the local economy as businesses reopened.

Sean said, some residents believed the governor of the state did a pretty good job of managing the crisis. While some others wanted the state economy to have opened up a lot sooner. They're worried about their financial future.

According to the Ohio Department of Health, there are 31,625 confirmed cases with 1,888 deaths in Ohio.
