NA passes four bills

KATHMANDU: The upper house today passed four bills.

The bills include the Bill designed to amend some Nepal acts related

to Civil Code 2075 BS, Bill on rights of the persons with disability

(first amendment) 2075 BS, Bill related to environmental conservation

and the Bill related to control of the international trade of endangered

wildlife and plants (first amendment) 2075 BS.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Bhanubhakta

Dhakal, Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Thamamaya Thapa

and Minister for Forest and Environment Shakti Bahadur Basnet

respectively presented the bills in the meeting.

Lawmakers Ram Narayan Bidari, Radheshyam Adhikari, Jeevan Budha,

Prakash Pantha, Bimalai Rai Poudel and Jitendra Narayan Dev had spoken

on the bills.

The next meeting of the NA has been scheduled for 11:00 am, on Thursday.
