Marawi crisis: ISIL-linked leaders reportedly killed in clashes

The leaders of ISIL-linked armed groups behind the Marawi crisis in the Philippines, Isnilon Hapilon and Omar Maute, were reportedly killed in clashes, local media reported on Monday.

A photo of Isnilon Hapilon whose face was covered with blood has circulated among Marawi residents, according to the reports.

Armed Forces of the Philippines spokesman Restituto Padilla said verification is underway.
