Andrew Leung elected as president of seventh-term of HKSAR's LegCo

Andrew Leung Kwan-yuen, the president of the sixth term of the Legislative Council (LegCo) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), has been elected as president of the seventh-term LegCo, according to a statement released by the Legislative Council Secretariat.

The nomination period for the office of the president of the seventh LegCo closed on Tuesday afternoon.

"As there is only one valid nomination, the Clerk to LegCo declares Mr Andrew Leung Kwan-yuen elected as the President of the Seventh LegCo," said the secretariat.
