COVID-19: Mask debate still ongoing as cases spike in country

Despite repeated pleas from healthcare officials for citizens to wear a mask and practice social distance – thosepleasarebeing ignored by a significant population in the United States,which now has a quarter of all confirmed COVID-19 cases in the world.

Most doctors say those two simple solutions are the easiest things Americans can do to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

In the U.S. state of Texas, where COVID-19 numbers spiked, many citizens said a mask just doesn’t fit theirlifestyle.
