Iran, Russia deputy ministers to discuss Syria crisis

An Iranian deputy foreign minister headed to Moscow on Sunday to discuss latest regional developments with Russian officials, Press TV reported.

Iran Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian left Tehran for the Russian capital Moscow, where he will exchange views on Syrian crisis with high- ranking Russian officials.

During his stay, Amir-Abdollahian is scheduled to meet with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, who is also President Vladimir Putin's Middle East envoy.

Iranian and Russian officials have held several meetings on Syria since the outbreak of the crisis in the Arab state in March 2011.
