Bhutanese dignitary arrives in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, Aug 29 – Bhutan's Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of Bhutan, Lyonpo Tshering Wangchuk, arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday morning to participate in the Fourth Summit Meeting of Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC).

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Ishwar Pokharel received Lyonpo Wangchuk at the VVIP bay of the Tribhuvan International Airport. A contingent of the Nepalese Army presented a guard of honor on the occasion.

Likewise, President of Myanmar Win Myint arrived in Kathmandu on Tuesday for the BIMSTEC Summit. The two-day Summit will begin tomorrow.
