Kazakhstan has terminated the negotiation with AstraZeneca as concerns over the safety of the vaccine mount, a senior official said Wednesday.

The senior official in the Ministry of Health added that it is now in touch with Pfizer, Moderna, Sinovac and Johnson Johnson for potential procurement.

Kazakhstan has introduced Russia's Sputnik-Vvaccine and is mass-producing it in Karagandy.

A total of 76,000 citizens have been inoculated since the start of the vaccination drive on February 1.
