Air France plane forced to make emergency landing in Russia's St. Petersburg

An Air France Boeing 777 aircraft en route from Paris to Beijing was forced to make an emergency landing at Russia's St. Petersburg airport on Monday due to technical reasons, airport authorities said.

Pulkovo Airport's press service has confirmed that all passengers have been transferred to a safe location. No injuries were reported among the passengers and crew onboard.

Air France representatives at Pulkovo Airport are now liaising with the stranded passengers in order to arrange onward travel to Beijing.
