Biden to announce first cabinet picks on Tuesday

The projected winner of the United States presidential election, Joe Biden, will announce his first cabinet picks on Tuesday, said his chief of staff Ronald Klain.

Klain, who termed the expected cabinet announcement as "exciting news" did not however reveal what positions Biden would announce as he continues gearing up for the start of his administration in January despite President Donald Trump's refusal to acknowledge his win.

The development comes just days after Klain accused Trump and General Services Administrator Emily Murphy of failing to follow the law by refusing to allow the official transition process to move forward.

Biden on his part called upon U.S. citizens to help them fund the transition as the Trump administration has still declined to recognize the election results.
