Three people are missing after a fire broke out at an oil field located in northern China's Bohai Bay, on April 5, according to China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC).

In a filing to the Hong Kong stock exchange on Friday, the company said that 99 out of 102 people on site were evacuated on the incident night, but three were reported missing. Boats, helicopters, and drones were dispatched for the search and rescue mission.

The fire was put out the following day, and no oil spill or environmental pollution has been detected so far, CNOOC said, adding that it carried out an oil spill check and placed oil booms around the platform.

"The impact of the incident on annual production is approximately up to 600,000 barrels, representing 0.1 percent of the total," according to the filing.

CNOOC is China's largest offshore oil and gas exploration and development company.
