KATHMANDU, Dec. 28 -- The Nepal Communist Party
(NCP)’s standing committee meeting has endorsed the political report
presented by the chairperson duo with recommendations.
The meeting held today endorsed the political report presented by Chairpersons, KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
The report was endorsed incorporating
recommendations, critical deliberations and supplementary proposal
presented by the members following rigorous discussion about party and
government performances.The meeting also has formed a task force to
accomplish backlog of works on party merger within mid-January.
With the decision, it is believed that the dispute surfaced in the party has come to an end.
Likewise, the meeting has formed a task force headed
by general secretary Bishnu Prasad Poudel with Ram Bahadur Thapa,
Shanker Pokhrel, Barshaman Pun, Yogesh Bhattarai, Surendra Prasad
Pandey, Beduram Bhusal and Lekhraj Bhatta as members.

Yogesh Bhattarai said they would prepare and submit the report with
recommendations in next meeting within two weeks and the party merger
process at local level would be finalized based on the report.
The then CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre) merged into a
NCP took place on May 17. So far the merger of province committees of
the parties has taken place while the district committees and people’s
organisations are yet to be integrated. (RSS)
