Erdogan, Putin discuss cooperation against COVID-19

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin discussed cooperation in the fight against the outbreak of COVID-19 during a phone conversation, Turkey's presidential office said Tuesday.

Both leaders also discussed bilateral relations as well as regional developments, the presidency announced in a written statement.

They "have agreed to maintain close cooperation between the two countries and on regional issues," the statement noted.

Turkey has so far recorded 90,980 coronavirus cases and 2,140 deaths, according to the latest figures of the Health Ministry.
