Hong Kong customs official shot dead at airport: media

A male customs official was shot dead at the Hong Kong International Airport Tuesday afternoon.

The official was found dead by medical staff at a changing room at the airport after gun shot was heard, local media reported.

The official was reportedly shot in the temple and a gun belong to him was found beside his body.

It has not been clear whether it was a suicide or murder case, and the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department has not respond to the event.

The Airport Authority confirmed the gun shot incident with Xinhua and the police said the case is under investigation.
