U.K. reports first COVID-19 death

The U.K. has reported its first death from COVID-19.

The Royal Berkshire NHS Trust said on Thursday that a patient with underlying health conditions had passed away after testing positive for the virus.

Earlier, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the U.K. reached 115, an increase of 30 from Wednesday’s figure, according to the Department of Health and Social Care.

The World Health Organization (WHO) in its daily briefing said on Thursday that there were 95,265 reported cases of COVID-19 globally and 3281 deaths. The Organization has called for concerted efforts by all governments to contain the virus.
