As the number of COVID-19 related deaths are rising in Venezuela, people are struggling to give their loved ones a decent funeral. Funeralsnow cost hundreds of dollars – far more than most Venezuelan earn in a month.

CGTN’s Stephen Gibbs spoke to someone who recently lost two relatives from COVID-19. A black market has formed as people try to jump the queues in funeral homes.
